Information centre

From now on, visitors can get to know the city through a digital guide. The innovation will allow them to discover its history, as well as its stories from the ancient past and the present in three language mutations.

For your tour, you can choose from two options in our application:

1. In the castle compound there are five lookout points with information panels, providing fine views of the town: the wooden hoarding of the Bebek Tower with three panoramic lookouts to the south-east, south-west and west; the eastern part of the castle’s upper bailey, with views to the south-west; and the highest accessible lookout of the castle, which offers a view to the north. By scanning the QR codes on the information panels installed at these sites with your smartphone you can read or listen to a brief presentation of landmarks or points of interest found in the given panorama section, accompanied by photos or a video.

2. If you prefer to explore the town on foot, you can visit these landmarks directly and have a close look at them, with the assistance of a navigation function integrated in the guide app. Again, at all the destinations you’ll find information panels or plaques with QR codes to confirm that you are at the right spot. By scanning the QR code you’ll get interesting details about the particular landmark. The app also provides flexible cross-reference for remote access to the individual points of interest.

Our aim was to give you a simple and user-friendly tool for a sightseeing tour. To use the app, activate the mobile data (the internet) or the localisation function for navigation on your phone.
